Do a search for welding supply shops.... cheapest, easiest refills you'll find. Otherwise, if that doesn't work, try fire extinguisher or fire protection supply stores. They too are cheap and generally friendly.
If those both fail... they won't.... go to any sporting goods store that sells or service paintball goodies. Many of them have the capability to fill your tank.

ARC Welding Supplies 419 Enterprise Drive, Charlotte will exchange for $12. 
The fire extinguisher store in downtown mooresville fills them near the corner of nc 3 and Main st.
You can stop in at Beer Wine Hobbies International on 150 across from walmart while you are in the area.
they do tank exchanges but are more expensive.
