is there a big difference between leaving the beer ferment ( primary or secondary) or bottling and leaving it there for the same duration.
 
If you ferment ales 2 weeks in the primary and then keg it works fine. For bottling It works just as good to let it go 2 weeks in the primary and then rack to the bottling bucket etc. The beer comes out the same if you keep both at 70F while it conditions and carbs up (CO2).
