Hi, I'm trying to build a recipe for a mango hefeweizen, and I've heard citra adds that flavor.I have no experience with this hop, and looking for feedback.

If this is a good hop for this, how much and when to add? Dry hop?

I'm considering adding mango to the secondary as well.

Something around 20 ibu is all I'm after, so I'm sure late additions are in order. I guess my question is how strong a flavor could I expect at say, flameout?

Think edwort's Bavarian hefe. 5 gal batch.

Thanks!

it completey depends on the cut of hops. Citra can vary wildy in flavor profile. Most of the time it's citrusy and fruity; balanced. Sometimes you get the full on overripe mango bomb. The latter can be quite cloying and unpleasant if used too much.
