Can I thread a copper fitting onto a stainless fitting? I have a stainless bulkhead and was going to throw on a copper dip tube.

Yes you can! I had it that way for awhile until I came across a supply of SS 1/2 tubing and just had to do the upgrade. If you search HBT you will see a lot of copper dip tubes.
