Anyone ever use this? I bought it off amazon and want to make sure I'm not retarded. All I did was put the probe into a container of water. Sealed the container. Set the temp on the controller to what I want the freezer to be at. Plug the freezer into the controller and plug the controller into the outlet....

Is it really that simple?

I've had it set to 60F for 4 days and holding steady.

I pitched my Kolsch yeast last night and it is fermenting happily :)

This toy is too simple

I just bought the same thing from Amazon and it shipped from brewyourown.com. I also put the probe in a container of water. I set the temp at 66. I have a diary thermometer in the water and have been checking it daily for the past few days in morning and night. The temp stays consistant at 66 degrees. I read reviews online that the temp can be off by over 5 degrees. Looks good so far. I have an ESB happily fermenting away. I would recommend this product.
