Hi, i'm still new to homebrewing. I would like to try to grow hop.

I was looking on some homebrew site to find rizhome and i found that they appear to be sold out everywhere?

So it is to late ? do you know somewhere to buy 2-3 rizhome?

Thank you.

It's not too late to plant new rhizomes this year, but don't expect to get any harvest out of them. Think of it more like planting very early for next year. :)

As to where to buy them, I'm at a loss. Like you said most of the suppliers are sold out by now. :(

I just planted 3 weeks ago even though i put them 4-5 inches deep havent seen anything yet and going on June im not expecting many feet out of them,if they are even alive.Who knows.Wish i had put in my order a month sooner but wasnt ready for supplies yet.

you might try a well-stocked nursery. i got a new plant at mine (more expensive than a rhizome at $8)

Try Freshops.com. If Dave doesn't have any left send me a message and I'll see what I have left.

Hi,

You can get hop plants, not rhizomes, at Pepiniere Jasmin in Ville St. Laurent. The only beer related hop they have on their website is Nugget (http://www.jardinjasmin.com). I'm sure other nurseries would have as well.

You might also want to look at Bristol Hops. They are producers of organic hops in Quebec (http://bristolhops.ca).

I would also recommend a local nursery. When I went to mine, they already had sprouted plants for sale. That was awesome since I didn't need to worry if they would grow. They are over three feet tall now. Sprouted plants will get you going.

Thank you very much! i found some online at http://www.richters.com/

I bought 3 cascasde and 3 nugget since the minimum order was 6 plant. They supose to be potted plant.

How much distance should i leave between each plants?
