EDIT: SORRY I THINK I POSTED THIS IN THE WRONG SECTION. JUST IGNORE ME. I AM AN IDIOT.
Hello all,
I just tasted my first bottle brewed from Muntons Gold Old English Bitter kit last night. I waited only 10 days from bottling to try the first beer.
It is pretty intense bitter flavor with a strong, lingering, metallic aftertaste. Has anyone brewed this kit before?
This is my first time brewing and I'm just wondering if it's something I did, or just the beer itself? Am I way too impatient and I just need to wait for these lil suckers to mellow out a bit more? I read that you can age this beer for up to six months with good results, but do you think that metallic taste will go away?
Thanks in advance for helping the newb. Cheers!
