Briess pale-ale 3.5L.Any x-tra specialty malt needed for english sub.?

My base malt is Breiss pale-ale.When I see a recipe that calls for an english pale ale malt it will always tell you to use some Victory if you are subbing american 2-row in order to give you the x-tra flavor you get from the darker kilning of the english malt.They are assuming you are using standard 2-row which is kilned at 2L and not pale ale which is 3.5L-4L according to my bag.In your opinions, does Breiss pale-ale have enough flavor to be subbed for english pale-ale or does it need some victory or biscuit to give it an authentic "English" flavor?And if so,how much?

if you are looking for flavor, try marris otter as part or all of your base malt. it was recently reccommended to me and i love it.

I agree with bwb. IMO adding Victory or Biscuit is no substitute for the real thing.
