I am looking into brewing a Chocolate Cherry Stout. I found the recipe in Brewing Classic Styles. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a debate I am having with my other brewing buddies. How long can you bottle age/condition this type of beer before you lose the chocolate and/or cherry flavor from the beer? Or, on the other hand, will the flavors from these 2 ingredients improve with time? I am a big fan of bottle conditioning my stouts for 6 months on the low end. Thanks

How is the flavoring added in that beer? Is it a flavoring extract? I normally notice a loss in flavor of extracts over time. Normally the beer as a whole gets BETTER though, not worse. It tends to kind of "come together" over time.
