Looking to get a growler tube from a hardware store to fit on my standard beer tap (not perlick).

Saw many posts regarding this on HBT, but none giving the ID that works best.

Any info would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

i use 1/2" - regular hardware store tubing is tough to stretch over the end sometimes but it works. i use some extra high heat silicon tubing now and it fits over much easier

I think mine is a 3/8" ID but I actually slide it up inside the tap without any problems.

I tried that method filling up a few bottles to give out to friends. What a mess that created.

thanks for the additional input, and ideas. I was contemplating buying that product, but if i can get it for a fraction of the cost, might as well. Ill be back with reviews
