Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my hops from this picture? I live in Mass. and this is a cascade plant. Only seems to be affecting the lower leaves right now. Eventually they wither away and fall off. Thanks!

Looks like you have some Downy Mildew. Got out and gets some copper soap spray solution before it spreads. I have a powdery mildew issue on my Brewers Gold Hops right now. I got this from Ace Hardware to help.

What type of soil are they growing in? If they are in the ground what does the neighboring plant material look like. It actually looks like some sort of nutrient deficiency unless you applied something odd to the soil. There is a pest/problem guide floating around the forum somewhere and it's affiliated with Washington State which has some good photos of hop ailments. Seek and you will find. Good luck.
