If I'm using Mr Malty; where it asks for production date am I right on assuming it wants to know when the yeast was made or is it the date of your last yeast wash? After 4 gens its hard to remeber when I even purchased it.

When was it last active? I would use that, assuming it was handled well following.

That would be easier than trying to figure the production date.
