he 2015 IBU OPEN is taking entries!
Now is the time to go the the website and enter your beers for this years competition.
Please take a moment to go to the website and register your participation in this years competition. We will take entries until March 29th.

WHO: The Iowa Brewers Union homebrew club is Iowas oldest and largest homebrew club providing brewing knowledge to all homebrewers in central Iowa and beyond. You can find us atwww.iowabrewersunion.com
WHAT: The IBU OPEN is the clubs annual homebrew competition. It is a fully sanctioned AHA and BJCP event.
WHERE: This years competition will be held at Firetrucker Brewery in Ankeny, Iowa. 716 Southwest 3rd Street, Ankeny, IA 50023 (515) 964-1284. www.firetrucker.com
WHEN: This year we plan on TWO judging sessions. Friday March 27th at 6pm, and Saturday March 28th at 10am, with an awards ceremony following the Best of Show judging.
WHY: Why not! Homebrew competitions are fun and a great chance to gather with like-minded people and get your beer geek on! I look forward to seeing you there!
HOW: We will be employing the 2008 BJCP Guidelines.
I am asking you to register to judge or steward. Please go to www.ibuopen.com to register. Just select what sessions you are able to attend. (Note if you have previously registered for, or judged at our competition you will need to register again. We changed servers and deleted all previous registrants). In the past our competition has grown from its humble roots to a large and complex undertaking. Our success is determined by our judges. Bottom line is that we want and need good judges. Please put us on your 2015 judging calendar.
