I bottled my beer 5 days ago today. When I first bottled it it was completely clear. Now it is still clear but I noticed some small particles suspended in the beer that seem to be settling. Is this normal for this stage?

I am very new at brewing but I do think it is normal. ( I am no expert )
I had the same thing that happen when I bottled my first batch about 10 days ago.
All the bottles where clear when i first bottled and around the 3 RD or 4th day, one bottle had floaters in it but it settled and cleared up by the 6th or 7th day..

yeah, it's normal. bottle conditioning is a small secondary fermentation in the bottle. they'll get cloudy for a bit, then the yeast will settle and pack on the bottom like a commercial bottle conditioned brew. (think Sierra Nevada Pale Ale).

I'm sure it is just the yeast falling out of solution and Carbonating the beer. Every notice that bottle conditioned beer (jester king, other breweries) have yeast at the bottom. Just let them sit and they will clear up. Also when you pour leave a small amount so you wont get the yeast in you glass

Yep +1 on nordeastbrewer77 post. It takes 3 weeks for the conditioning and carbonation process to complete. By the time you get to 3 weeks all particulates will have settled out and formed a layer in the bottom of your bottles.

Thanks everyone! This is my first batch ever...Belgian Blonde Ale...looking forward to tasting the finished product.

I've been in the bottle for a batch about a week and a half. They are still crystal clear and no sediment. I'm starting to get a bit nervous it's not carbing up. I know I should be patient since it can take 3 weeks but dang. :). I'd a Honey Brown Ale first.

Btw sorry for hijacking your thread. Lol.

No problem...today is day 5 in the bottle and I just noticed it so im sure the times can vary depending on the brew. Good luck!
