Hi everybody - This is my first created thread here (been lurking for quite a while) and I was looking for some help on a recipe I plan on brewing tomorrow. Thanks so much!

Here is what I am planning:

6.5lbs Maris Otter
1.5lbs Flaked Rye
.75lbs Roasted Barley
.25lbs Black Patent

2oz Fuggles @60mins

WLP004 (1 liter starter)

2 Bourbon soaked vanilla beans added at the end of fermentation

Here are a few specific questions:

So I want this to be a dry stout - do the vanilla beans still work with that goal?
Is adding the vanilla beans to the fermentor post fermentation OK (trying to avoid racking to a secondary)
Will the 1.5lbs of flaked rye be enough to give me some rye flavor?

That looks like a good dry stout recipe. I think the vanilla beans will add a very nice flavor. I say go for it. I think you will be very happy with the result.
