I've been brewing beer for about a year now and thought I try my hand at some root beer. My girlfriend's favorite is Barq's, so I thought I'd see if I could find a clone recipe. I've done some searching around in this forum and on Google and haven't been able to find one. Does anyone know where I can get one, or can someone recommend a similar recipe?

Thanks!

I am looking for a clone of this..

I've only done root beer, but I like the Sprecher's syrup. I think it's sold by Northern Brewer. Sprecher Root Beer is a Wisconsin institution. I don't think I've ever had Barq's, but I would guess that it would be very similar.

Sprecher is a very good rootbeer, and has great honey and licorice root notes to it..I love it...but Barq's is very unique..it has a good ginger bite to it...I remember one of their slogans use to be "Barq's got bite"......Sorry I can't be of more help, but I can say that the sprecher doesn't taste like Barq's.
