So I've been working on an ESB rescipe recently and I was kind of throwing around the idea of trying a parti gyle kinda like Fullers and London pride but I was contemplating adding additional grains for the second runnings. My thought was to have something like a mild for the 2nd batch by adding maybe a little bit of chocolate malt and perhaps some more crystal malt. Anyone have any experience with this or see any potential issues with this idea?

Thats exactly what I do with my second runnings. Whatever Ive just brewed I will add a few ounces of grains that were used in the first batch. Technically I believe this isnt truly partigyle, but then again I really dont care as long as some good beers come from it.
