quick oats or instant oatmeal

Hello everybody, this weekend I' m going to brew my first Oatmeal Stout and I don't now if I must use "Quick Oats" or "Instant Oatmeal".
In the first case, may I cook the Quick Oats? How?

You can use either, but "Instant" often has salt, sugar, etc in it, that you don't want. If you are doing a mash, you do not have to cook "Quick".
 
Yes I'm doing a mash (all grain).
Quick oats doesn't take 1 minute thats the instant.
Thanks, I think that this time use Quick Oats without cook, just direct to the mash with the grains.
I hope don't have trouble with gelatine.
