Yes I have another question --- however this time I have actually read parts of the book so this may be more coherent. Again my topic of choice is converting Jamil's and Palmer's full boil recipes to your basic 3 gallon boil.

On pages 35-38 they very clearly discuss this conversion process where basically you are going to tweak down the amount of LME. And they include some nice formulas which I've put into a spreadsheet.

So class - lets look at the Blonde Ale on pages 96-97. Using said method and spreadsheet ... I am told to reduce the Light LME from 8.3lbs to 3.25lbs for a 3 gallon boil.

Does this look correct to those of you who have brewed any of the recipes in this book in a 3 gallon boil ?

Many many thanks in advance -- the more I read the dumber I feel
