Hello - this is my first post. I will create an intro soon.

I bought this style apple juice:

"Riverton Orchards" Apple Juice Cocktail from concentrate. It's 64 FL OZ (2QT) 1.89 L. The ingredients are Water, High fructose corn syrup, apple juice concentrate, malic acid, natural flavors, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Caramel color. It is pasteurized.

I read that you have to have five of these to make a 5 gal batch of cider. Before buying anymore (it was $1) I wanted to know if it was suitable to brew cider with? I'm looking for the alcoholic kind - to clarify.

Thanks for your time & happy brewing.

Steve

To make 5 gallons of cider, you need 5 gallons of juice.

2 Quarts is 1/2 gallon.

You need 10 to make 5 gallons.
