Hi, I was wondering how to keep alive a yeast culture, do I just hydrate it and put it in the fridge? thanks

haha ok thanks, how do I make a "starter"? Is it just putting the yeast in some sugar water?

a 'starter' is a miniature batch of beer (often sans hops). you brew it up a day or two in advance and put your yeast in it. when it's done fermenting you will have a LOT of yeast that you can pitch into your real batch.

look around at the sticky threads in the forums, you will find a FAQ on making a starter.
