Hey all, I am going to a wedding in the Dayton area that my cousin is hosting and I am one of the people who will be involved in getting the alcohol (beer...). We will have the option to go to Cincinnati or the border on the other side as well.

Are there significant differences in distribution in the two states. And any particular stores that could be recommended in that area?

TIA

There is a great party store on the KY side- I forgot the name, something "Party" that has an excellent selection of beer. I can't think of anything else special in the area off of the top of my head.

There is party source in Newport kentucky, and if are up by Dayton then lookup a place called jungle Jim's.... they have a good beer selection and the exotic foods are fun too look at as well.

Came in here also to recommend Jungle Jims. As far as the border, if you have a free evening, go to Hofbrau Haus in Newport. I've never noticed anything between buying in one location vs the other, but I've also already been drunk as balls by the time I went to the KY side the last two times I was there :/

Party Town has an 18 tap growler station http://www.partytownky.com/?page_id=74
Party Source has TONS of kegs http://www.thepartysource.com/express/results.php?c=b&t=stype&s=KEG
Jungle Jims has some kegs and a good bottle selection

Belmont party supply (above ^) does have a great selection, however that store is always so damn hot! I have bought 2 skunked 6 packs from them in the past and not sure if its because they were old or because they're stored in UV light at an ambient temp of 80-90 F.

How long ago was that? They have expanded ALOT in the last 2 years or so.
