Tasting Notes
Beer burps tasted of hops and fresh baked bread. I loved it.
So, this beer was basically a cowboy beer. I was shooting from the hip. It is now a beer that I will always have on hand.

7.5# Alexander's Amber LME
.5# Victory Malt
.5# Roasted Barley
4 oz. 8.2% Perle
2 oz. 60 min.
1 oz. 20 min.
1 oz. 5 min.
1 pkg. WLP001 California Ale Yeast
1 oz. 7.4% Cascade
Dry Hopped in secondary

Steeped grains @ 150 for 60 mins.

This was my third batch. I loved it, my friends loved it, the LHBS said it was "really good." It came out very brown with a nice head and great head retention. If anyone out there tries this, please let me know how it was, and any input from my recipe will be greatly appreciated. This is my first recipe posted. Like a walrus, I have thick skin.

Don't want to freak anybody out by resurrecting a 6 year old recipe but I've converted this to all-grain and plan to brew on Sunday. The name was all I needed to be hooked!

13 lbs. Pale Malt (2 Row)
12 oz. Roasted Barley
12 oz. Victory Malt
Hops - as above

Mash in with 18 qts. at 156 for 45 minutes.
Fly sparge with 21 qts at 168.

We shall see!
