I see the recipe link was removed. I'm not wanting in, just wanted to see the mash and sparge schedule, plus the pre and post boil volumes once more. Could anyone help? I'm planning a bw in the near future and have some questions. One off the top of my head, what difference would there be in a 8 gallon verses 7-7.5 gallon preboil volume? I'm thinking a lower o.g., due to the extra sparge water?

Yes generally with a large beer you have to boil longer since you need to sparge with more water to get the same efficiency. On the other hand you can just plan for a lower efficiency and put in more grain, I generally think another pound or two of grain is worth the extra hour and use of propane to boil off more.

If anyone remembers, I have a few questions about this recipe as well. I am having trouble with the hop schedule. It seems that when I punch the recipe into Beer Smith, I am getting an IBU reading of 34 when the recipe says 99? I'm not sure if there is a mistake in the recipe or what but here are my readings:

1.66 oz Magnum [14.50 %] (90 min) Hops 26.8 IBU
1.00 oz Centennial [10.00 %] (25 min) Hops 7.2 IBU
1.00 oz Centennial [10.00 %] (0 min) Hops -
1.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] (0 min) Hops -

Any help?

Are you getting these numbers using software? Mine came from Beer Smith.

It seems that I am getting the IBUs just fine before I punch in any more of the recipe. Does the fact that the beer is so big really drop down the IBUs or is it maybe a glitch in Beer Smith?

I'm having the same problem after I enter all the recipe i get...

I know this is a super old thread but I'm willing to bet that but the huge different in calculated IBUs is due to your configured boil pot size.
