I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. I've finally decided to get a chest freezer for fermenting ales and maybe lagers, too. I know a lot of you guys have this setup, but I've been without all summer and it's been driving me nuts. I bought a frig back in april, and a regulator, but the frig died after a month. I was pissed. All summer I've been so frustrated cuz I've wanted to brew but worried about temperature. Every time I tried the brew came out really estery and fermented at about 75-78 degrees, despite all my wet towels and fans and cold water baths (the carboys took the cold baths, not me.).
Anyway...just thought I'd share my JOY.
