Winco has 32 - 52 qt pots for <$40.
I asked the guy to get me a 40qt, but didnt realize I had a 52 till I got home. Is this too big for 5 gal batches? I'm planning on moving to full boils and some high gravity beers.

What's the diameter/height?

As other's have said, too big is not a problem (I use a 15gal pot for 5gal full boil batches), but if it's short w/a large diameter, you'll need to compensate for a large loss during the boil.

I have a ten gallon pot, and I still wish it was bigger! 13 gallons is awesome!

I started out the the exact pot you are talking about 52qt from winco, always sold in the fall as a tamale pot. Last time I was there they were marked at $31.99 for the 52qt.

Mine is pretty beat up for the flames over the last year, the bottom is starting to chip away but it is cheap, what do you expect. It got me into all grain brewing :)
