If it's not a Stanley Cup Champion Hawks' paddle, it's not worth the money or effort.

It's oak, the guy that made it said to put some mineral oil on it so I figured what the heck. Oiled it, let it dry then oiled it again.
I'm trying to wrap up my immersion chiller in time to brew this Saturday... we'll see how that goes!
