Hey All,

I did a search and there is very limited info on try to yeast wash a batch of beer that has had gelatin added to it.

[a] has anyone successfully (or unsuccessfully) done this? Tips/Comments?

even if you never tried... tips/advice?

I plan to try it this weekend and will post results.

Any advice... practical or theoretical.... is looked forward to!

If I had no other choice is the only time I would try it. When repitching I would over pitch a bit, assuming lower viability.

So you are saying that it is more trouble than its worth? Or it probably would work huh?

I guess I gotta decide before hand if I want to gelatin or wash?

You could always do both if you have another carboy or bucket.
Cool it if you can for 24 -48 hours or more then rack to secondary.

Then use gelatin in the secondary and wash the primary.
