Hey! I brewed some beer last night. I made it from partial kit I was given and part left over grains. Here are the ingredients:
3.3 lbs Amber Liquid Extract
2 lbs Light Dry Extract
.5 lbs Rice Extract Syrup
.56 lbs Pale Malt 2 Row
.25 lbs Chocolate Malt
.5 oz Saaz (60 mins)
1 pkg Nottingham Yeast.

What kind of beer will this turn out like? Any suggestions on fermentation times in primary and then carboy? Any ideas on ingredients I can add to secondary?

Thanks!!!:mug:

A very lightly-hopped brown ale?

If the Saaz was about 3.5% AA then a quick calc says you've only got about 5 IBU...might be a candidate for blending with something nice and hoppy!

Depending on the SRM of the chocolate, it is either an amber or brown. Unfortunately it is very underhopped and may taste very sweet. Hope it turns out better than it sounds.

The rice extract seems like the odd duck at the party there. Other than that I would say a hybrid amber???
