How much do most people pay for a keg to convert into a keggle? or is there somewhere to go to get worn out kegs from a brewery?

Call around to local breweries/distributors and ask what they do with kegs that do not pass quality checks. If you are making a keggle, you don't need to worry about holding pressure... you are going to poke all sorts of holes in it.

Prices for used kegs run b/w zero and around a hundred bucks...supply and demand...right time right place...call it what you will.

Sorry so blunt, but its true.

I like the zero part. In Clemson we use to have a $10 deposit on keg shells. So I'm going to make a few phone calls and try to get a free shell, if not I'll call the old fraternity and get them to put a couple of shells aside.
