trying to brew around a dumb schedule...

so can I wake up and bring the wort to a boil and proceed as usual - or are there bad things that happen that way?

thanks... I am hoping this isn't the silliest question of the summer

I really don't see why this would be a problem. Just be sure to be sanitary about it and cover everything up before turning in for the night.

Yea no big deal, if you are more comfortable, bring the wort up to temp, say 190 - 200, that way you have killed the enzymes and the bugs prior to letting it sit for the night.

This is probably not required, but the wort could likely safely sit much longer once it has been heated above the threshold.
