This is designed to run off 12V, probably not what you want for a home setup. I'd look for the STC-1000, it's roughly $25 shipped. Make sure you get the appropriate voltage (110V/220V) depending where you live. Look at the famous "ebay aquarium temperature controller" thread, tons of people have used it.
