I am brewing a California Style Ale and used Wyeast 1056 yeast and the yeast nutrient I have had to change my airlocks 5 times in the last 5 days. It is really fermenting and my airlocks are getting clogged. But it is really smelling good, really hoppy. I santize the airlocks each time i replace them. Is there a chance of infection. I guess i will use a blow off from now on.

What temp are you fermenting at? Higher temps can definitely cause that. Depending on how much headspace you have in your fermenter, that can happen with an active ferment at normal temperatures too.

I wouldn't worry too much about it getting infected.

I would try to use a larger fermenter, or make slightly smaller batches, and if you're fermenting at higher temps, better temperature control. For Wyeast 1056 I would try to keep it in the 60-66F range.
