Single regulator into dual regulator?

I have a Draught Tech primary CO2 single pressure reg with dual gauge.

I'm looking to turn this into a dual reg set up for when I want to serve beers at two different PSI.

They sell this secondary reg but it looks like it has a barbed nipple. So I assume I would need to split my primary and have one air line go into the secondary. THe primary would have to be at the higher PSI and the secondary would be at the lower.

Is there anyway I could connect them like this? I would prefer not to hook it up using an air line.

Keg Connection makes this http://stores.kegconnection.com/Detail.bok?no=461 but how do I know if this will fit my reg?

The secondary is $50 and to buy a new dual reg from them it would be $105. I guess I could try to sell my reg now and just get the dual set up. Trying to save a few bucks though.

I did that with 2 primary regulators, the problem was finding a left hand thread nipple to connect them.

harbor freight has them for $30. If you don't like the 0 to 100 psi gauge a welding supply place has 0 to 30 gauge $9

Beside the regulator, keg and co2 tank, what else do you need to make this work? Is there a thread specifically on the harbor freight stuff?

Bev factory has #5 tanks for $54.

Keg connection has converted pinlocks $34

they also have disconnects hose and taps

I really don't know, I would think you should be able to connect that one to your primary by way of a LHT nipple, might want to check out what differences there are between a primary regulator and a secondary (to me it just looks like the high pressure gauge)

I have it bad. I need to connect a RHT to a LHT regulator. I think midwest and chicompany have the nipple I need, but I hate the idea of paying shipping for one item.

That is a flow regulator, not a pressure regulator, and will not work well for serving beer. It also doesn't have a check valve or shut off valve. FWIW a brand new PRESSURE regulator with check/shut off valve only costs ~$40, and they can often be found used even cheaper.

I'm wanting to do a similar thing. I have a dual gage single regulator right now and I'd like to buy a single gauge single regulator of similar brand to get the dual regulator setup.

The gauges on my current dual gauge reg look to be RHT. My reg looks like it's this one: http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/regulator/double/premium_double_gauge_542.html . The single gauge reg I'd like to get is: http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/regulator/single/commercial_single_gauge_541.html

You guys keep saying that we'd need a LHT nipple to join the two regs. Is that because you're used to dealing with Cornelius regulators that have use LHTs or is there something else to consider?

All of my regulators are LHT on the high pressure side.

It looks like the gauges on my current regulator are RHT. Are you saying that the stem coming out the right side is a LHT? If that is the case, to attach the single gauge reg linked below, I am thinking I'd need a LHT to RHT nipple. Do you guys agree?

The ones i have both the right and left sides are LHT.
