Hey guys & gals. I've turned to HBT many times before for help and I'm doing it again. I need a bit of help with wiring up my control panel. Before you say, "Here we go again..." the panel is (probably) very easy to wire for someone who has even a basic know-how of electrical stuff.

Here are some pictures to help you see what I'm working with.

THIS IS THE BACK. The plug on the left is for the power cable that will supply the unit. The plug on the right is where I will plug in the solenoid valve. The switch is the main power switch to turn the entire unit on and off. I'd like to use this kind of like an emergency kill switch too.

THIS IS THE FRONT. The PID needs to be turned on by the switch directly underneath it. The XLR cable input is for the RTD thermometer. I already have the XLR input wired to to the PID (properly I hope). The switch however is not.

The three switches starting at the top:
TOP SWITCH ONE will control the solenoid valve. The light next to it will tell me when the gas is on or off. Light is on...gas is on. Light is off...gas is off.

MIDDLE SWITCH TWO will control the hot surface ignitor. The light will do the same thing. Light one, HSI on. Light off, HSI off. I don't have this yet, but will run a cable out the back to plug the HSI into. It'll be kind of like a barrel plug end. Here's the HSI I bought:

BOTTOM SWITCH THREE will only control the ALARM SOUND that will be turned on by both the PID'S HIGH and LOW alarm. When the high or low alarm is set off, the buzzer will make noise. I want to be able to use the switch to turn the noise off.

This is the inside. As you can see, there is plenty of space for wires and such.

As far as the system itself goes, all the switches, buzzers, lights, solenoid, HSI, etc. are all 120VAC. If possible I would like to wire in some fuses as necessary (if necessary). But I don't know if I need them. Again, I'm a NOOB.

And JUST IN CASE you need the information, here are the eBay pages for the switches, LED lights, and alarm.

Any help you can provide would be great. Thanks.

No help huh? Anyone willing/able to put together a simple wiring diagram for me? I can probably figure that out. Thanks.

Did you ever get help on this? I can assist if you still need help :)

I did actually...and boy did I need it. It's all wired up and running like it should. An electrician that I go to church with helped me out. Thanks anyway.

Now that this is completed, I'm almost done with my system. I'll be posting pictures of it on the "Show Us Your Brew Sculpture" thread soon.

Take care and brew on!
