I just did this one again- it's been in bottles about 8 days. I didn't have pacman yeast but had pacific ale yeast with a starter. I fermented it cool (my house is in the 62 degree range) and it tastes pretty good. I'll try it gain it a couple of weeks.

Because I used maris otter malt and pacific ale yeast, though, I'm calling it an "Unclone". I have a Dead Guy in the fridge now, and I'll compare them head to head in a couple of weeks and see how close it is.

I have one in my sig. too. Based off Yoops plus info I gleaned from an interview with John Mayer on the Brewing Network (more munich that Yoops)

Nice looking recipe Clay. I'll be curious to know how it comes out. I think I'd lower the base malt a bit for me though. An anticipated ABVof 6.3 seems a little high.

6.3 is actually low. From the Rogue site, Dead Guy seems to be about 6.8% ABV

Measurements: 16 degrees Plato, IBU 40, Apparent Attenuation 78, Lovibond 16

Oh! Well I stand corrected. I may "borrow" heavily from your recipe then if things turn out well. Thank fully Rogue does a good job describing their beers so we can make something pretty close. Thanks
