Does anyone have a clue how to figure out how many calories are in malt extract? I'm sure it changes from malt to malt, but if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be cool.

....why, are you eating (drinking?) extract?

Beersmith can tell you calories/pint of actual beer but I don't know about extract.

In terms of a quick back of the envelope calculation. Dry malt extract is nearly entirely carbohydrate and protein, both are about 4 calories per gram so 100 grams has about 400 calories.

Liquid extract is about 20% water, 100 grams is about 80%*400 = 320 calories.
