I am currently in Argentina and just recently finished my brew-sculpture.

I am wanting to make Edwort's Haus Pale Ale.

So I got all the ingredients and even bought Cascade hops.
After a little reading I am wonder if these are Argentine Cascade or not.

From what I read, Argentine Cascade have an AA% of 1.5 to 2

The ones I bought here in Argentina have AA% 7.1 which seems higher than normal Cascade...

Any thoughts?

I have Cascade whole leaf hops from my LHBS and the AA is 7.3 and a bag I just got from Hopsdirect are pellets with an AA of 5.4

Have you ever smelled "real" cascades? They are really distinctive to me they are really bright and fruity and floral smelling. IIRC argentinian cascades smelled nothing like that. To me they smelled very chemically/medicinal, not really as pleasant as the ones you want.

In fact my experience with your country's product was less than satisfactory. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f36/smash-advice-mo-argentinian-cascade-92765/

I've never had real cascade hops.

These didn't smell medicional, I'm thinking the are real cascades, I hope!

Just got done making Edwort's Haus Pale Ale with my new setup.
I hope these cascades don't ruin it.

By the way the hops were just labeled cascade with their AA% of 7.1, but being in Argentina, makes me wonder...
