I may have done something stupid, but I hope it still works.

In a state of LHBS excitment I purchased what I thought would be the ingredients for a decent SMaSH Kolsch.

3 lbs of pale 2-row, 1lb of x-light pale DME,1 oz of Saaz, and 1 vial of the White Labs Kolsch yeast.

If I did all of my calculations correctly, this should work:

Mash 3lb 2-row @ 152 for 60 min in 1.5 gallons of water. Sparge with 1.25gallons @ 170 for 10 minutes.

.75 oz Saaz @ 60 min
.25 oz Saaz @ 15 min
1lb DME @ 10 minutes

Projected OG: 1.047
Projected IBUs: 24

Any thoughts on this? Suggestions? I'll be doing the mashing stove top with a bag.

I plugged your numbers in to beersmith and for a 2.5 gallon batch your OG number looks right. I've never brewed a Kolsch, so I haven't a clue on the hops. :)
