Would this work well for a fermentation chamber? Its an outside enclosure for electronics. Insulated with climate control. I believe the climate control on this one runs off DC. I have acces to others that run off AC.

how well insulated is it? that last pic makes it look a little less than ideal in the insulation area. However, if it's free I would tear some of that electrical goodness out and sell it/build/recycle as much as you can. other than that if the compressor works go for it.

+1 You can always re-insulate everything yourself and/or custom build as you need. If using some sort of temp controller (STC-1000, Love, etc) check the power draw of the compressor - for e.g., the STC-1000 can handle a max of 10 amps I think.
