Has anyone tried adding maltodextrin to a wine kit? I just purchased a cheap white wine kit on sale, buy one get one, and some of the reviews say the kit is good for the price but a bit dry and not much body. Would adding some maltodextrin powder instead of store raisins work well?

We have added extra light dried malt extract to wines before to boost their body, works really well with ports. Have not done it to a white wine yet but I dont see why it wouldnt work as long as you dont put in to much and give it a beer taste. WVMJ

Used sparingly, it would probably work fine.

My son uses a little maltodextrine in his root beer recipe. One time, he must have mismeasured and used a bit too much. He made root beer jell-o.
