I just got results from the Slurp and Burp Homebrew Competition that is hosted by Strange Brew Club here in the Portland, OR area. I entered the light lager category with a Premium American Lager that was brewed from a blonde ale recipe(no adjuncts)-I just figured it may be good with Lager yeast. It turned out great, and I was prompted to enter it. I figured that Light Lager would be an unpopular homebrew, as the stuff is so maligned and cheap but there were a dozen other brewers in the category. Anyway, I scored very well (41.5) and now I have only deepened by obsession with brewing....lord help me!:ban:

Good score, Tim. 'Tis the season for light lagers and ales. Did you post your recipe for the boys?

Thanks!, The recipe is from BYO a few months back. Its the Blonde Ale recipe from Jamil.
I will post in a bit...I'm brewing right now!

Congrats. It's only going to get worse from now on. :D

It's a great feeling, isn't it! (rhetorical question)
