I think i used a California Ale White labs yeast for my first IPA. has anyone done the Pacific Ale yeast? that one seems better. The Calif V yeast seems okay too, any tried the Pacific?

Used it (Wyeast version though) for the IIPA in my kegerator right now. Its got a little more fruity character and definitely a bit maltier than the 1056/001. It is good no doubt, but I prefer the 1056.

WLP007, Gives of vary little esters and can finish vary dry. It flocs out really well to give you the clarity you want for an IPA. I have been using this yeast at 68º and have been getting good results with it.
