A biology teacher uses my classroom for the final period of the day. This is what I found on my desk this morning:

Found out later it was gatorade and baking yeast. Probably would taste salty. I wonder if they have an old stirplate in their labs...
 
In my HS chemistry class (1984) we actually fermented and distilled hooch as a lab experiment. We each fermented a small batch of liquor in our desk (about a liter using the sugar or your choice, I used honey) then distilled it, and it had to be strong enough to burn for passing grade. Of course nobody drank the end result :D
 
LOL, that is an awesome experiment. Reminds me of summer vacation where we used Graves as a campfire starter.

that was part of it
 
We did distill it, in fact IIRC I distilled mine twice because it didn't burn the first time.
