Is anyone interested in setting up a beer exchange? There are a lot of beers that I would love to try, but I can't get - like Stone's IPA, for instance. I propose that we do this - if you want in, you should reply to this thread with a posting of a list of beers that you cannot get in your area, but you have been dying to try. Then, if you see a post where someone is requesting a beer that you can send to them - trade away.

Anyone game?

I like the idea - I have been dying to try Stone IPA and Fat tire which are unavailable in Florida.

Stone's IPA is what I have been after - along with some Pliny the Elder. I can't get Fat Tire here either -but I have had it.

Here is my wish list, if anyone is up to it.

Stone IPA
Arrogant Bastard
Sanctification - Russian River
Pliny the Elder

Ill head to the store today and see if they have any stone's left. I saw a 666 there the other day

I'd be interested to see what you guys out West are unable to get. Anything that you've been wanting to try but does not ship out there?

Beers that I'd like to get my hands on that aren't available out here are:
Bells, Three Floyds & Iron Hill

I'd like to get in on this. I can get a few east coast beauties like 3 floyds and a whole bunch of others, including most of the Stone stuff too.

I'm definitely interested in Pliny but do they even bottle it?

Sonvolt, Fuggles, I'd be happy to send some your way. I can get regular stone products for $3.69 a 22ozer or something like that. On your list sonvolt, about the only one I can't get here is the Pliney. I think I've seen Sanctification around, or maybe it's the Damnation... I'll check.

Dude, I don't know if they bottle it or not. I've been up and down this state and haven't seen it anywhere. I was just up near Sacramento last week and I definately looked.

If anyone can get Pliny, I would do my best to hook you up with whatever you wanted. I have some kick-ass beer stores around (Stone's not a problem at all).

We have very few good beers around here- but I can usually get Bell's, New Glarus, Capital, Sprecher. Bell's is made in Michigan, the others in Wisconsin. I'd love to try ANYTHING!

If anyone wants to do a swap, I'm game.

Lorena

I was at Russian River about a month ago and they do not bottle Pliny. You can fill a growler at the brewery though. Wonder how well that would ship?

Awesome. I'll trade you for some Sanctification or Damnation . . . whatever. List some beers that you'd like, and I'll set you up if I can get them.

This is gonna be grrrrreat!

This is my local beer store. http://www.bottleworks.com/default.htmIf anyone sees anything on the list that they'd like, I'd be happy to pick it up and ship it out. I'll also be in Portlland this weekend and will be going by here http://www.belmont-station.com/ so, same thing. Let me know if you'd like something and we can work out a trade. I'd definately like to get some New Glarus as well. A friend brought a bottle of their Sour Brown to my party on Saturday. That stuff was great!

D'oh!

That's a real pisser. :(

I haven't seem the Alaskan Smoked Porter around locally (maybe I haven't looked close enough). I'd love to get my hands on some of that.

Liquid solutions has the Alaskan Smoked Porter (which is very nice) in 22 oz. bottles. They ship just about anywhere in conus.

[No I don't get any kickback from LS]

I saw the smoked porter last year, but haven't seen it this year. When did it come out?

Got mine at Bevmo - Phx. Bevmo is in your part of the world.

Here's what we can get in AZ

Moose Drool (Bitterroot Valley MT)
Dogfish 60 and 90, Punkin, a few others
Stone

Also Prickly Pear Vodka, if that's your thing.

______________________________________________________
Love to get Sprecher Black Bavarian
New Glarus other than Naked (had it, liked it, but...)
Lakefront.

Pliny (because it looks to be more valuable than gold on this board)

Last time couple times I went there I didn't see it. I'll go back soon and see if it's there.

This thread makes me realize how limited my beer selection is here in central Illinois. :(

I've never heard of Sour Brown, but here is a list of the beers New Glarus has for 2007 and the seasonal schedule: http://www.newglarusbrewing.com/beer schedule.html
If you see something that grabs you, just send me a PM and I'll be glad to get some out to you. They also have a coffee stout "coming soon" if you're interested.

Lorena

Brewtopia, I'll PM you.

I'm in Wisconsin, can get Sprecher, Leinenkugel's, New Glarus, Bell's,....umm , plenty of others. I'm up for new stuff!

If anybody can find the Alaskan Smoked Porter, PM me with your wish-list, and I'll see what I can find for you. I have some really, REALLY good stores around me, unfortunately not in town but within a reasonable drive.

omg....

My local liqour store has the 3 litre Double Bastard. 65 bucks though!! Its a beautiful bottle though, I almost took one home with me.

But they had plenty of Stone's IPA and Ruination

Have any PA people chimed in yet? If not, we have a lot of great locals available. I've also been able to find some hidden treasures around me. (Read: retired beers) Some of my wants and gots can be found here.

I have blinders on as to what else is avaliable that i may like in your areas but here are a few i like that are midwest.

I just brewed a clone of this. (Or tried to anyway. Well see...)

I have had their "hazed & infused" and the "single track". Both are favorites. I need to go visit this place next time in CO.

I have access to Fat Tire here also as well as the New Belgium line up even though its not one of my favorites lately. I wore myself out on it when it first became avaliable around here.

Brewtopia, Got the Mocha Porter (last Friday actually). Good stuff, thanks!
Hopefully your Two Hearted Ale should get there today.
Enjoy!

I'm glad the beer arrived safely. I'll keep an eye out for the Two Hearted. I can't wait to try it.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the GREAT packing job. Hopefully mine holds up just as well...

This thread has been dead for a few days now, but I figured I'd bump it back up with what I can offer. I live in San Diego and have access to:

Alesmith
Alpine
Stone
Green Flash (if they bottle??)
Pizza Port
Ballast Point
Karl Strauss (not my favorite, but it's available)

As far as what I'd want, I don't really know. basically anything I can't get out here on the west coast.

PM works best if you're interested in trading or even just purchasing

Matt
