Stainless Reducing Nipples

I am having a difficult time finding a reducing nipple to go from a 1/2" coupling to a 1/4" tee fitting. It's all NPT and I would like to keep the plumbing stainless.

SCENARIO:

The 1/2" NPT coupling is welded onto the keggle. The 1/4" NPT tee is part of the Brewhardware, weldless sightglass/thermometer kit.

Can you help a brother out?

I think you'll have to go with 1/2 tee plus 1/4"reducing fittings. A one piece may be available but i haven't seen one, and if it does exist it wont be cheap IMHO.

Can you use a hex bushing with a nipple? 1/2" MPT x 1/4"FPT and a 1/4" x cls nipple It look like he sells the hex bushings on his site as an option for other items. Maybe contact him and see if he has the nipple too. If you click the picture it shows a 1/2" X 1/4" hex bushing.http://www.brewhardware.com/sightglass/58-sightglass-for-welded-couplings

You could use a reducing bushing:

and then either use a close nipple between the reducer and the tee, or you could use a tee that has a male end:

Those are a little spendy though.

On second thought, you're probably better off getting the 1/2" NPT sight glass kit.

Threads right into your 1/2" coupling on your keggle. No point getting the weldless version if you have a 1/2" coupling welded into your keggle.
