Strip Clubs????

I am curious about strip clubs...... no not that way.

Preface: I have been to strip clubs.

I know the idea of strip clubs is great. It is every man's fantasy, right?

My question is, how many of you can go to a strip club and enjoy yourself. I cannot suspend my disbelief and the sight nearly brought me to tears. I know the strippers are there by choice, and are making more money than I am (I have known a couple strippers personally), but I just can't help feeling terribly sad and disappointed by the scene.

I know many will think that is lame, but I feel like to enjoy the time at a strip club, one has to treat the women as animals and nothing more. I am just not capable and so they are a horrible experience for me. Great to dream about crushingly horrible in practice.

Call me lame but vote honestly! Please don't use this as a place to debate the existence or morality of strip clubs. I purely want to know if I am in the minority on this....

Honestly never been to one. Seems pretty pricey for getting all frustrated. Also I tend to think I would have the same reaction.

I haven't been in probably five years, and doubt I will go again until another close friend gets married. Last time I was there, it was fun, but also kinda... sad. It depends on the club, the place that's semi-local is really depressing. I don't mind women taking advantage of my hormones to take my money, but when you know some of them are they because they kinda HAVE to be (drug addiction or whatever), that kinda takes away some of the joy.

the_Wife is OK with my having gone, and wouldn't object if I went again, so that's not really the issue. There is an aspect of objectification that's present, but then again, I loves me some pornography, so I guess I'm being somewhat morally inconsistent.

I can't deny that my sentiments have changed a bit since having the_Bean.

So, I've certainly enjoyed myself at clubs in the past, but don't feel any real inclination to go back anytime soon.

I've been to a few in the past, but I really think its a complete waste of money. Giving a bunch of money to a chick just to shake her naked ass in my face seems pretty pointless. I could have a lot more fun at a dive bar for a fraction of the money.

Never done much for me...well, long term.
The idea of going to Uber-Frustrated Land without a Fast Pass just to blow every dollar in my wallet on Tiffany's Panty Fund ain't my idea of fun. If I want to be frustrated, I can stay home for that!

Having a little girl really takes the shine off that one. Used to go on bachelor parties and when totally slashed, but haven't been to one in years. don't expect to go again until the next bachelor party.

I don't like them. I've only been once with the guys, but it made me feel like a bad person just being in there. Secondly, being a real cheap MF'er, I didn't like having to pay to get in, then feeling obligated to throw money at these girls. What really did it for me was that these girls were all around my age (young). I found it really sad and did not enjoy it.

Meh. The only times I have ever gone were for bachelor parties. I got taken to one for my own bachelor party- it was fun, except for being beaten with my own belt for the edification of my groomsmen. Bastids.

I've been to quite a few and one thing I can say for sure is that it's a lot more fun going to a strip club *with* SWMBO than it is going with a bunch of my buddies. The dancers see you as 'safe' if you have your SWMBO with you and you both get a lot more attention. Not to mention the bonus of watching her get a couple of lap dances once she has a couple of drinks in her. :rockin:

I haven't been to one in over 10 years I would have to say..But I felt the same way, there felt like a certain level of sleazy desperation on the side of the men...and god knows what from the women, but it wasn't eros.

Yeah, it's frustrating and sad at the same time.

Honestly, I've had more fun going to Hooters...You get good wings, and the girls in skimpy clothes actually seem to be genuinely having a good time with each other and the customers. There's sort of a flirtation conviviality about the place.

I've been to one as a customer once, in Vegas about 10 years ago. Felt the same way as you, BK. It all just seemed wrong. I felt sad for the women more than anything. Between that and being upset at the beer selection (pretty much only $5 bottles of Bud), it wasn't a good time.

On the other hand, when I was a health inspector, there was a strip club that we had to inspect periodically (as a food service establishment). Can't say I didn't mind going to work that day! It wasn't easy... standing there at the bar, writing up the report, trying to act all professional, when a hot, topless college-age girl was dancing 5 feet away. There was one inspector (kind of a boob) who "lost" his car keys while inspecting that place and had to stay an extra long time until he found them. How convenient!

I've been to strip clubs a few times. Every time I left feeling rather foolish, not to mention horny & frustrated. I haven't been to a strip club in over a decade because it just seems stupid to pay someone to tease me, get me all worked up, not let me touch, and have to suffer all this while having nothing but overpriced swill to drink. Strip clubs don't really do anything for me.

I went when I was like 20-21 with a "friend". He got taken out for his 18th by an older guy and we had a good time. It was pretty sad even at that early age. Plus most of the chicks were NOT hot. One was very nice though.

The main dude who brought us gave some big bill to the birthday boy to give to her, and when he went to hand it to her, she shook her head, took the bill, put it between his teeth and made him place it in her tiny waistband with his teeth.

He was bright red and sayin all night, "Oh man, I could smell it!" he he. He still got nothing more that night.

I just laughed, bu we were too young to drink, and it was not exciting enough to get up about.

Meh, I grew up around naturists. My entire extended family were naturists. I have seen literally thousands of naked ladies. There are only two that were really worth remembering, and one of those was my cousin.

If I want to see another naked lady I'll just ask a fully clothed one to oblige. It always worked in the past.

I went to one in Athens on my 21st birthday, my cousin took me, first time I had ever been. I left with one of the strippers and dated her for a few weeks until the novelty wore off (not all that bright if you know what I mean) If I remember correctly her name was Candy and as memory serves my cousin also left there w/ a stripper that night. Ahhh what good times…. 21, not a care or responsibility in the world, dating a fine a$$ dancer. I can still smell the beer soaked bar, what good times.

I voted yes I love them as it was the closest to what I believe. However, I don't really go ever. The thing is, is it is not that great. Most of the time you have to sit there like a d-bag with a pile of ones in front of you just waiting for 15 seconds of butt in your face. Between that and the drinks, you spend a ton and like I said, fun, but not that fun.

However, there are those times. My last trip to a strip club was my bachelor party. After we had been there for a while, everyone at the stage we were at had realized we were a bachelor party (because we were getting all of the attention) and up and left. So we had a whole stage to ourselves and all the girls love messing with the bachelor; so needless to say it was a ball. There was 2, 3+ girls on the stage at all times, at least one of them jamming their nasties in my face at all times...so yeah, it was great. And it didnt cost me a lick (pun intended).

Some people have talked about the sexual frustration part of it, and I can see that, but it has never happened to me. I have always had a girl to come home to to oblige or have just gotten so sloppy that none of that matters anyways.

I haven't been to one since before I was married never really cared for them and NY is total nude if no alcohol is served thats why there are most always next to another bar.

If I want to see naked chicks I all I need do is go to a bike rally and camp. At least there free and the want to show you the puppies. I could also go to the local bar seems every weekend night there are some drunkass collage girls stripping .. such a shame :rockin:

I went to one a few years ago and it was pretty high class. You had the feeling the women were making good money and they didn't need to be there. Now I don't know what happened in the next room over. That seemed like the place where real money was being spent.

On the way to the LHBS there are a series of clubs and I have to say I have gotten curious. I have never really found it sexy but the one time I went it was fun. But not the kind of entertainment I was expecting.

I've been a few times, last time probably 10 years ago. That was the only time I enjoyed it because my wife went with me. It was oddly fun. A combined bachelor/bachelorette party.

In Germany, women swim topless all the time. I remember a snorkle trip to an island in the bahama's. It was great till a French Club Med boat pulled up and all these women came a shore and took their tops off. I was wearing sunglasses (lucky for me).

Anyway, SWMBO & were just enjoying the beach and talking to another couple about all the boobs and how "If you've seen one pair, you've seen them all".

The other couple's husband agreed but then added "Till a better pair comes along". LOL I laughed for 5 minutes..

It isn't the nudity at strip places that bothers me. I am fine with nudity and attended several nude beaches and whatnot when I lived in Germany. It is the entire experience and atmosphere in strip clubs that really bothers me.

I know what you mean. I snuck away from the first wife in the early 80's in South Africa, and they had a strip show going on. I thought it was pretty cool until I noticed that this girl had small bruises dotted around her body. It was a real "WTF?" moment for me.

Strip clubs are for others as far as I'm concerned. I just don't want to be a part of it.

Ya, know guys, you can always put on of these up at home.... It's highly aerobic I hear.

Seriously!! Thank God for you dude, because I thought I was in the different type of forum. Wow, I think some people need to drink a little of that homebrew and lighten up. Love the CLUBS!

I go occasionally to strip clubs. I don't go to throw my money at the hoes but to have a few beers with friends. The best part is when the walk up to you smiling seductively and ask if you want a dance, you tell them no but they can fetch you another beer. It may piss them off but it's not like we're sitting close to the stage. Now if there was a vaudeville(sp) place around I would like that. Class acts with a bit of mystery.

I don't generally like them for the following reasons:

1) Not a good investment. $100 at the club gets you 5 lapdances and blue balls, $100 strategically spent at a bar could land you something much better

2) I feel exploited. Yeah, I said it. I don't like being continuously hassled for dances by strippers. I hate when they come over and act like they're sooooooooooo interested in me (this is also why I hate Hooters).

3) Crappy expensive beer.

Having said that, I did go to one strip club recently in Portland that was AMAZING! They had 20ish micros on tap for $4/pint, there was no cover, and the strippers were both extremely hot and would not hassel you. It was like a cool bar that happened to have hot girls dancing naked.
