Wanting to brew my Sour Brown w/ Cherries again and I used the WLP 515 the first time around and really liked how it turned out. Wanting to rebrew it, but ofcourse having issues finding that strain since its only released once a year.

Are there any good/similar substitutes for this yeast?

maybe wlp007 or even wlp001

wlp0029 or wlp036 if you want some sulfur character.

Wondering with those I would still be able to enter in the Belgian Specialty category?

Fwiw, its a pretty light brown ale with 2oz of Liberty hops. I do a homemade lacto starter, add it to the runnings to let it sour, then boil and ferment as normal with the WLP 515.
