8oz Crystal -60L
Steeped for 30 min at 155

1lb Extra Light Dry Extract
3.3lbs Northern Brewer IPA LME
3.3lbs Pale LME

1.0oz Citra 60 min
0.5oz Cascade 30 min
0.5oz Citra 15 min
0.5oz Cascade 15 min

1tsp Irish Moss 15 min

1.0oz Citra 5 min

1pkg Wyeast 1272 American Ale II

Dry hopped .5oz Citra after 8 days in primary. Mostly because I had a half ounce of Citra left over so I thought why not? Kegged 5 days later.

I did a full volume boil on this. 6.5 gallons in the boil. Ended up with 5 gallons in the primary.

Beersmith gave me an OG of 1.59. I ended up with 1.052. Kegged it yesterday with an FG of 1.010. Should have about 5.5abv and 65-70ish ibu's.

In the keg now. Took a taste before putting it in. Should be good. Has that nice piney, citrus aroma I was looking for. Very clear too. I will post in a week a so when it's done.

Sounds like a good beer. I love Citra. We are brewing a Nelson/Citra hoppy pale tomorrow. How long have you been kegging for?

Cheers.

This is only my second brew and my first keg. So we will see how it goes.

Tell me about your Nelson/Citra. I have been working on a Nelson IPA for a little bit and would love some ideas on how to use it. I want to make an Imperial IPA using all NZ hops with focus on the Nelson.

This came out fantastic. Citrusy..a little piney. Love it. The only thing I plan on changing is to make it my first all grain batch. Anyone have any suggestions for a grain bill? The Amber LME I used was Northern Brewer's Superstructure IPA blend.
Actually all 6.5lbs of the LME was the NB Superstructure. I didn't use any Pale LME.
