This is one that has come into regular routine here, even though our Terminator stout clone is popular too...
The recipe is essentially a stout with wheat and rye.
2-row 11.5 lbs
Rye Malt 8 oz
Carafa 2 8 oz
Wheat LME 2 lbs.
(note: we used raw barley and light LME for part of the original, and it was tasty)
Hops:
60 min boil
Willamette .5oz 5.0 AA
Magnum 0.15 oz 13.5 AA
Citra 0.15 oz 11 AA
5 minutes
Citra 1 oz
Willamette 0.5
Mash at 138 for 45 mins, then raise to 152 slowly until conversion is done.
Ferment at ~60 degrees Fahrenheit for 1+ weeks.
This beer is a little bit sweeter than I usually go, but the hops and the malts work well together.
